Hallo an AS/400 - Kenner!

IST-Zustand: AS/400 640 mit 2 x #2238. Systemvalue QPRCMLTTSK = 0.

In der erweiterten Hilfe steht es, daß der Rechner mit Wert 1 geliefert wird und jede Änderung erst nach IPL aktiv ist.

Ich habe den Wert auf 1 geändert und IPL durchgeführt. Nach dem IPL steht der Wert aber wieder auf 0.

Frage: Wie ändere ich den Wert von QPRCMLTTSK richtig?

Hallo,

Prozessor-Multitasking lässt sich nur ab einem bestimmten Prozessortyp aktivieren und ist nicht abhängig von der Anzahl der Prozessoren. Stimmen die Voraussetzungen, ist die Vorgehensweise Änderung des Systemwertes richtig.

ich kann mich da dem Bodo nur anschliessen.

For V4R4 and subsequent releases, when setting the system value
QPRCMLTTSK using the CHGSYSVAL command, the system can appear
to ignore the CHGSYSVAL command when the next IPL is done even
though the command executed successfully. This situation will
occur if the CHGSYSVAL command is used to set the value of
QPRCMLTTSK to ONE ('1') on a system which does not support the
Hardware Multi-threading feature. On the next IPL when the
new value for QPRCMLTTSK would take effect, the operating
system will detect that the hardware does not support that
feature and will default the value of QPRCMLTTSK to ZERO ('0').
