Client Access für Windows 2000

Hi,
ich habe eine NT 4.0 Workstation, auf der ein IBM AS/400 Client Access for Windows 95/NT (VRM=V3R2M0) installiert ist. Somit habe ich Zugriff auf unsere AS400.
Jetzt soll der Client Access auf einem Windows 2000 Workstation installiert werden. Mit der vorhandenen Version gibt es Probleme.(einige Anwendungen haben dann keinen Zugriff mehr auf die AS400).
Gibt es eine Client Access Version für W2K?
Unsere AS400 hat als OS V4R4M0.

For the XD1 clients, you will need to map the drive to the following directory:

\\AS400 name\qca400\win32\install\image

For the Service pack install, the drive will need to be mapped to the following directory:

\\AS400name\qca400\win32\service\image

You can either copy the image folder to another location or run the SETUP.EXE directly from the Image directory on the AS/400e or iSeries system.

For the express clients, you will need to map a drive to the following directory:

\\qsystemname\qibm\proddata\ca400\express\install\ image

For the express Service pack install, the drive will need to be mapped to the following directory:

\\qystemname\qibm\proddata\ca400\express\service\i mage

Leider funktioniert erst CA-Express ab V4 auch unter W2K/XP. Am besten jedoch nimmst du V5R1/R2, der läuft auch mit OS/400 V4Rx.

Die Version V3R2 solltest du schnellstens vergessen.

Falls du Laufwerksmapping benötigt hast, dann nutze nun den NetServer und die Freigaben mittels OpsNav.

Hallo Tom,

wir hatten bis vor ein paar Wochen auch noch CA 3.1.3 auf Windows 2000 im Einsatz.

5250-Emulation und Datentransfer gingen einwandfrei. Probleme gab es bei Druckeremulationen - diese sind oft abgestürzt.

Ein weiteres lösbares Problem gab es bei der Installation: CA funktionierte nur bei dem Benutzer, mit dessen Namen CA installiert wurde. Hatte sich ein anderer angemeldet, dann konnte dieser nicht auf die AS400 zugreifen.

Dieses Problem konnten wir aber durch Import eines Registry-Eintrags beheben.

Falls Intresse besteht kann ich den Eintrag mal raussuchen.

Wenn schon V4 im Einsatz ist, warum dann noch V3-Clients einsetzen ?
Insbesonders da es absolut keine Unterstützung mehr hierzu gibt.
Der V4-Client ist doch auch sehr gut und brachte weniger Probleme als V3 !
