Nach V6.1 keine VPN Verbindung mehr

Leider gar nicht, ich greife auf diese spezielle I5 mit einer
Telnetsitzung zu. Ist zwar nicht so komfortabel und
umfangreich, aber funktioniert wenigstens.

Hallo,
ich würde einmal diese Sachen prüfen:

1)Open Operations Navigator, and right-click on the name of the iSeries or AS/400e server. Select Properties, and click on the Connection tab. If the Performance area is set to never look up the IP address of the iSeries server and an IP address is specified, verify that it is the correct IP address for the iSeries server.


2) Cause
The address used for the server was found, but the connection to the server timed out.
Recovery
Make sure TCP/IP has been started on that server, and that the host servers have been started. If this does not fix the problem, verify that the IP address used to attempt the connection is correct for the server. This address is logged in a previous message.
Verify TCP/IP address servers (Domain Name Servers) are configured correctly on this PC and have the correct address for this server. If the address is correct, check the HOSTS file on your computer for errors. If the IP address specified in the HOSTS file is incorrect for the server, correct it and try the operation again.
If a TCP/IP router of some kind exists on the network between the PC and the server, make sure the router is configured to allow connections to the iSeries Access host servers and to the Server Mapper on the server.

Die IP-Adresse ist korrekt und es steht auf "Niemals - IP Adresse angeben".
Die Hosts Datei ist korrekt, da sich auch Telnet darüber die IP
holt und das geht ja auch. Interne PC haben auch keine
Probleme mit CA. Das Problem tritt nur von außen auf.

dann würde ich doch einmal die Zugänge kontrollieren. Wie zum Beispiel Router, Firewall, etc.
Da wird bestimmt etwas geblockt.

Hallo Wolfgang,

haben das Problem nun gelöst.
Es lag an einem IP-Eintrag (CFGTCP Nr. 1).
Ich würde mal diese Einträge prüfen lassen.
Bei uns war ein alter Eintrag drin, der nicht mehr genutzt wurde und nun das Problem verursachte.

Da steht außer der 127.0.0.1 nur der korrekte Eintrag der I5 drin.

Was für ein VPN nutzt Du denn? So ganz transparent kann es ja nicht sein wenn Telnet funktioniert und ne TN5250 nicht.

Ich weiss nicht ganz genau wo der Unterschied sein sollte, vermute aber mal ne AUTH anfrage oder was ähnliches.

Eine ganz normale Windows VPN Verbindung, wie vorher auch.
Mit der vorherigen I5 klappte es perfekt, aber nun halt nicht mehr.

Das TN5250 klappt ja, nur der ISeries Access will nicht wie vorher.

Mit TN5250 meinte ich die Emulation innerhalb von System i Access, ich denke Du nutzt den Mocha TN5250 oder so.

Was hast Du denn für eine VPN Gegenstelle wohin Du Dich verbindest?

Da kann es doch an der Firewall liegen, da CA neben dem Port 23 für Telnet (der ja funktioniert) noch mindesten den Port 8476 as-signon (über den iSeries-Navigator) benötigt.
Ggf. auch noch den 8470 as-central.

Zu sehen sind die Ports über NETSTAT->Auswahl 3 (8470-8479 bzw. 9470-9479 für SSL).
