Note: Remove any tape cartridges from the drive(s) before updating code.

This is a PTF for tape device licensed internal code. To fully activate
it all of the controllers and devices associated with the IOP must be
varied off, then VARY ON one of them with a RESET(*YES).
If it is not possible to activate the PTF with the RESET(*YES) option,
the system must be IPLed. This PTF will also be marked as active after
the next IPL.

To activate this PTF for an IOP that will allow VARY ON with RESET(*YES):

1. Vary off all tape controllers and tape devices attached to the IOP.
2. Vary on one of the controllers or devices under the IOP using
For Controllers:
VRYCFG CFGOBJ(The controller) CFGTYPE(*CTL) RESET(*YES)

For Devices without Tape Controllers:
VRYCFG CFGOBJ(The device) CFGTYPE(*DEV) RESET(*YES)

and other parameters as would normally be done.
3. Vary on all of the other controllers and devices normally.

To activate this PTF for an IOP that does not allow VARY ON with
RESET(*YES):

1. IPL the system.
